SolarCollege Initiative Consulting Process SCI has developed a specialized consulting process for institutions of higher education to rapidly determine and implement the most effective and economically feasible deployment of solar for their specific campus. Our team of experts assists each individual college to determine its needs, build stakeholder support, develop an RFP (Request for Proposals), and negotiate the various avenues of financing to find a feasible solution that best suits the needs of the institution. SolarCollege Initiative, founded by Jacob Travis in 2008, is a project of GreenVision, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit.
SCI is presently an all-volunteer nation-wide organization led by a small Management Team, guided by an Advisory Committee, and supported by our network of Associates, who serve on various task-forces and committees. We are presently building regional and campus leadership teams (students, faculty, sustainability officers, senior administrators, trustees, alumni, etc,) developing alliances with other nonprofit organizations, campus groups and solar industry companies..
